PiQASO Consortium Advances European Post-Quantum Security at 2nd Plenary Meeting in Athens

ATHENS, Greece – The PiQASO Consortium has successfully met for its 2nd Plenary Meeting, hosted by Netcompany . The two-day event brought together key partners from across Europe to coordinate, technically align, and accelerate the development of Post-Quantum Cryptography As-a-Service for critical infrastructures. As quantum computing advances, the need to secure digital infrastructure against future quantum threats becomes urgent.

The meeting opened with a comprehensive overview of project progress and technical management led by UBITECH . The primary focus of the first day was the practical application of PQC technology.

Partners presented their plans and work across nine critical use cases, demonstrating the project’s broad industrial impact:

The second day was dedicated to the technical engines driving PiQASO. Tampere University and Bundeswehr University Munich provided critical updates on the development of Post-Quantum Cryptosystems and the PiQASO Reference Implementation.

The focus then shifted to integration, led by Netcompany , featuring a workshop on the CI/CD pipelines essential for the project’s technical delivery, while K3Y presented the published PiQASO Academy and upcoming training materials.
