PiQASO at the TCG Japan Regional Forum Workshop

In February 2026, PiQASO was represented at the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) Japan Regional Forum (JRF) Workshop held in Tokyo, Japan. Athanassios Giannetsos from UBITECH, technical coordinator of the PiQASO project, attended the workshop and engaged with sessions addressing post-quantum cryptography and the advancement of trusted computing standards.

The TCG JRF Workshop brought together international experts and industry representatives to discuss security standards relevant to the current cryptographic transition. PiQASO's participation reflects the project's commitment to engaging with standardisation bodies and staying aligned with international developments in post-quantum cryptography, an area central to the project's objectives.

About the event

The TCG JRF Workshop is an annual public event organised by the Trusted Computing Group's Japan Regional Forum, bringing together industry representatives, government officials, and technical experts to discuss advances in trusted computing standards.

This year, the programme addressed two central themes: the standardisation of security technologies compatible with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and artificial intelligence, and the preparation of industry and government for the EU Cyber Resilience Act, scheduled for implementation in 2027. Sessions covered topics ranging from PQC composite signatures and key encapsulations, to supply chain security and attestation mechanisms in AI environments, with speakers from organisations including Google, HP Labs, NVIDIA, and the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
